For these clients, extending and remodelling their existing home offered the opportunity to create spaces that better reflected the way they wanted to live. The brief centred on opening up the ground floor, introducing new leisure facilities and strengthening the connection between the house and its gardens.

Inicio managed the comprehensive remodelling of this substantial Ashtead home, transforming both its layout and functionality. The ground floor was completely reconfigured to create a generous open-plan kitchen, dining and entertaining space, centred around a striking glazed wine room that has become one of the defining features of the home.

Elsewhere, the former garage was transformed into a versatile leisure space incorporating a gym, bar and games room, while a beautifully appointed guest suite and peaceful reading room were created above. Every addition was carefully integrated to ensure the house feels balanced, cohesive and perfectly suited to modern family life.

The transformation continued outdoors with the addition of a bespoke outdoor kitchen and entertaining terrace, strengthening the relationship between the house and its landscaped gardens and creating spaces designed to be enjoyed throughout the seasons.
